My Practice
My experience as a relationship counsellor,family therapist /mediator and Social Worker enables me to support and assist people to work through their personal and relationship problems.
Individuals
Struggling in their relationships, going through difficult times, or times of change. I work with a client centred focus, in a warm and safe environment. i have unconditional positive regard for my clients so they may focus on the here and now. I am genuine and have empathic understanding without making judgement.
I work collaboratively with the client to help identify patterns of behaviour, developing an understanding of what keeps them stuck. looking at what their contribution to being stuck is.
Couples
I work with couples experiencing relationship difficulties such as communication, breakdown, trust issues, inequality, conflict resolution, maintaining healthy relationships and any concerns the couple are experiencing.
My approach to working with couples is by Systemic Therapy. By looking at the couple as a system, how they interact with each other, looking at their patterns of interaction such as pursue/ withdraw. By looking at behaviours such as avoidance of conflict, defensiveness in, blaming, miscommunicating, overgeneralising, and being negative about the relationship. Working with the problem as the problem.
Families
I work with families that may be experiencing conflict, challenging family dynamics, and differences with parenting skills. Children may be experiencing self-esteem issues. Enhancing family relationships by identifying patterns of interaction, enhances wellbeing and enjoyment between family members bringing back harmony and balance to the family.
Person Centred Therapy
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Conflict Resolution
Through couples counselling I can help you work through the "hot issues" that are causing conflict. Looking into communication styles and patterns to help develop healthier communication that is respectful and heard.
Separation and Divorce
Are you unhappy with your relationship and thinking of separation? I can help you talk it through and what the future would look like. Separation is never easy and impacts on the whole family (parents and children). An amicable separation where couples can work together collaboratively is recommended. Many families battle it out in the Family court system for 3-4 years on average over property settlements and parenting. I can support you to uncouple in a conscious mindful way with the least stress and conflict .
Relationships
Relationship counselling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
